The Conservation Services Department is dedicated to the responsible use and management of our natural resources through the application of environmentally sound practices; the development of a strong foundation of leadership and education; and the promotion of programs and projects that provide opportunities, fund incentives and assist citizens in the management of their own resources.

Conservation Services, which includes programs relating to water, energy and solid waste, integrates technology and information to provide a range of educational, financial and practical tools that can support conservation and recycling activities, making them more cost-effective and efficient.



As of May 9, 2016 the LED Exchange Program is now located at 300-1 Industrial Ave, Georgetown, please note the new address. This move means that we have extended the availability of the LED Exchange Program. Our new hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.



Georgetown “LED light Exchange” Program

If you are a Georgetown electric customer, there is an opportunity for you to try LED light bulbs for Free! Georgetown conservation services have collaborated with Home Depot to bring a program dubbed “LED Exchange Program” to the City of Georgetown. Through the LED Exchange program, Georgetown electric customers can trade-in 4 incandescent or 4 CFLs for 4 LED lights (10w) at the Georgetown Municipal Complex Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Just fill this form out and bring the form back to the Georgetown Municipal Complex Building to receive your FREE LED light. Please note for convenience forms are available at the Customer Care Center inside the Georgetown Municipal Complex Building.
